Welcome to the Community Congregational Church of Clinton Heights, United Church of Christ! We are glad to have you with us.
The Community Congregational Church of Clinton Heights is a warm, friendly congregation that desires to be an inviting place for all who are seeking a place to worship or to deepen their relationship with God. As a congregation of the United Church of Christ, we are part of a denomination of over 1.4 million people gathered in 6,000 congregations throughout the United States. We have a long history of being active in social justice and seek ways to reach out to our neighbors in need. We are always looking for new ways to be active in our local community, as well as support international relief efforts.
Our Sunday morning worship services are open to everyone, regardless of faith background or life situation. We are a “No prior experience necessary” church. Whether you are thinking about coming to church for the first time in your life, have been away from church for a long time, or have been a lifelong Christian, there is a place for you here. We seek to be inclusive of all people, recognizing that each person is a child of God and has a rightful place in God’s house. As part of our efforts to be inclusive, our church building is handicapped accessible and has an elevator to assist those who are unable to go up and down stairs.
We gather each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. worship. Each worship service is followed by a fellowship hour where we share coffee and goodies and take the opportunity to catch up with one another or get to know one another better. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and engage in casual conversation in an informal setting.
The adult Bible Study group will study the “Minor Prophets” starting January 27 each Sunday morning 9-10 a.m. in Fellowship Hall and Monday evening 7-8 p.m. in the pastor’s home located behind the church. Non-members as well as members are invited to attend. All are welcome!
