Youth Group

At our meeting April 8th, we met at the White House Adult Home in Clinton Heights and played Bingo with the residents. We provided prizes and everyone had a wonderful time. We will return at another meeting date to have fun with the residents.

At our February meeting we had a pizza making party, played board games and sang karoake

At our January meeting we made pizza and while it was cooking the kids assembled a cook book from recipies they brought with them to the meeting. All the recipies were photocopied and bound into a book for them to take home. The kids also played some card games and listened to music. At the closing we had a prayer and the kids offered there food items for CoNSERNS-I food pantry.

December meeting the Youth Group and the church Choir went caroling at the White House Adult Home. We had a wonderful time singing familiar hymns and songs of the season.

The November meeting was full of activity. The children tied lap blankets, make Prayer Bracelets and helped make turkey soup. The soup was taken to the Albany City Mission to feed the homeless and the blankets were taken to the East Greenbush Nursing facility.

On October 16 we had a Holloween Party. We put on a "Pet Food Challenge" and all the pet food collected was taken to the CoNSERNS-U Food Pantry in Rensselaer. The kids enjoyed wearing costumes, singing karoake and pumpkin painting.

Our first Youth Group meeting was held September 20, 2009 "Apple Picking" at Goold's Orchard. We all had a great time picking apples and then returning to the Church for cider and donuts.
